Math - Right Triangle and its Wonders P1
In today's post, I will write about the Right Triangle.
The right Triangle, is one of the most well-documented forms of geometry, seriously, this thing has been observed since 800-400 BC, which is much, much time, and because of this, we can do many things with it.
Let's start with the most common theorem of right triangles.
Pythagoras Theorem
"The square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares on the other two sides".Or in a mathematical fashion: c² = a² + b².
Where c is the hypotenuse.
With this, given a right triangle and two of its sides, we can then find the other one, since:
$\sqrt{c} = \sqrt{a^2+b^2} $
$\sqrt{a} = \sqrt{c^2-b^2} $
$\sqrt{b} = \sqrt{c^2-a^2} $
Now let's see some other equations of the right triangle.
Area
$areaT = \frac{1}{2}ab$
Altitude
$h = \frac{ab}{c}$
Inradius & Circumradius
$ r = \frac{a+b-c}{2} = \frac{ab}{a+b+c}$
$ R = \frac{c}{2} $
I hope you have a good day, I'm going to continue this story in another post.
